KINGDOM OF ITALY VERSUS HAPSBURG EMPIRE,

HISTORY OF TERRIFYING BATTLES FOUGHT ON THE CRESTS OF MOUNTAINS CONTRASTING WITH TODAY’S BREATH TAKING SCENERIES.. THIS IS WHAT WE WANT YOU TO EXPERIENCE…

This itinerary is meant to present the emotional aspect through strategies of the first World War

The setting will be the beautiful Castle Brando, Austrian headquarters and Hospital. From there chronologically we will visit sites starting from the terrible defeat of Caporetto to then narrate the conflict through the Veneto and friuli’s mountains , walking the communication trenches, looking across valleys, feeling the pains, fears, suffering of our young men coming from different countries, different backgrounds all commited to a cause they believed in.

Suggestive landscapes, harshness of the mountainous terrain echoing distant battles, grasping the incredible proximity of the lines of defence juxtaposed on the top of the mountain, only a few meters apart.

Landscapes now offer beautiful and serene sceneries. Returning to the present day, we will savour the beauty of Italian lifestyle, wine tasting, delicious local food and visits to splendid villas and quaint elegant towns.
